An FHA reverse mortgage conversation for a financial professional is an easy one that will help you and your clients. And you don’t even have to be part of it!
A financial planner I network with here in Tampa, a real professional, used her quarterly newsletter to contact her clients last week about the “dreaded” reverse mortgage.
She contacted them because after the recent negatively biased media coverage she believed that her clients deserved to get the real story on how a reverse mortgage might help them from an adviser they trusted.
She hasn’t been overwhelmed but has gotten some calls that were all pain free because she referred them to me and I spoke with her clients. These folks were very relieved to hear the truth from someone their adviser trusted and recommended.
Will any business come out of these inquiries for her? Maybe; worst case is that her clients might help spread the truth about reverse mortgages AND tell people they know that their adviser is looking out for them and not just soliciting more businss. Plus it didn’t cost her a penny more than she already spends!
As financial professionals our clients trust us and look to us for help reaching their financial goals. Education on all financial tools provides that help and builds even more trust.
